BlueRendering.ai Privacy Policy

BlueRendering.ai (“we”, “our” or “us”) operates the BlueRendering.ai website and SaaS dashboard (the “Service”) from Delaware, U.S. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you provide. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information. We are mindful of U.S. data laws and aware of regulations like GDPR and CCPA, and we strive to follow privacy-best practices. By using our Service, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect information when you register, interact with our site, or use our services. This includes:

Personal and Account Information: We collect any personal information you voluntarily provide. For example, when you create an account or complete forms, you may give us your name, email address, contact details, and login credentials. We may also collect additional profile information such as your business or project details, budget, or credit goals. As Wix’s guidance notes, we “collect and store any information you enter on our website… (including) personally identifiable information (including name, email, password)”[1].

Payment and Financial Information: If you make purchases or upgrades, we collect billing and payment details. Payments are processed through Wix Payments (using Stripe, Adyen, PayPal, etc.), which means credit card information is handled securely by those services. We do not store your full credit card data on our servers. All payment gateways used by Wix adhere to PCI-DSS security standards to protect your card information[2]. We may also ask for financial input (such as budget or credit requirements) to tailor our services to your project.

User-Provided Content: Any files or content you upload (such as images, text, or documents for your website) are collected and stored by us to enable our site-creation features. You remain responsible for ensuring you have the rights or permissions to any content you upload.
Usage and Device Data: Like most websites, we automatically log certain data about your visit. This can include your IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, and referring site. We also record usage metrics – for instance, pages you view, how long you stay on each page, clicks, scrolls, and other interactions. We may use analytics software (such as PostHog) to measure and analyze this data. For example, Wix recommends stating that we may use tools to collect session info like “page response times, length of visits to certain pages, [and] page interaction information”[1].

Cookies and Tracking Data: We and our analytics provider use cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small text files placed in your browser to recognize your device. We use necessary (essential) cookies for the site to function (e.g. keeping you logged in) and optional (non-essential) cookies for analytics and personalization. PostHog, our analytics tool, “uses cookies to help… identify and track visitors, their usage of the Website”[3]. If you prefer, you can set your browser to refuse cookies (though refusing essential cookies may disable some site features). We also honor browser Do-Not-Track signals by not using third-party tracking – PostHog does not employ external tracking services[4].

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To Provide and Improve Services: We use your personal and project data to create and operate your account, deliver website creation services, process transactions, and communicate with you. For example, your payment and subscription details allow us to bill you correctly; your uploaded content is used to generate your website. We also use usage and analytics data to understand how our service is used and to improve features and performance.
- Authentication and Security: We use account information to authenticate you when you log in and to protect your account from unauthorized access.
- Customer Support and Communication: We may use your contact information to respond to your inquiries, provide support, and send you service-related notices (such as updates or billing confirmations). You can opt out of non-critical communications (like marketing messages) at any time.
- Legal and Compliance: We use personal data as necessary to comply with laws and resolve disputes. For example, we retain transactional records to meet tax or financial reporting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. In line with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), we provide a “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” link and honor opt-out requests[5]. In fact, we act as a “service provider” under CCPA (similar to how PostHog agrees not to sell customer data)[6]. Your data will never be shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

Wix Platform: Our website is built on the Wix platform. Wix provides the infrastructure for our site, including hosting, forms, and data storage. As Wix explains, “Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage… [on] secure servers behind a firewall”[7]. This means user data (like registration info, files, etc.) resides on Wix’s secure systems.

Payment Processors: We use Wix Payments (powered by Stripe, Adyen, PayPal, etc.) to process credit/debit card transactions. These processors securely handle your payment card information. As noted above, all such gateways used by Wix comply with PCI-DSS standards[2]. We only receive confirmation of payment (not full card details).

Analytics (PostHog): To improve our service, we use PostHog for site analytics and session recording (including heatmaps and click tracking). PostHog collects data about how you interact with our site (e.g. mouse movements, clicks, page scrolls) and uses cookies for this purpose[3]. We configure it to mask sensitive inputs and to collect only needed data. You can opt out of PostHog cookies in your browser (PostHog’s policy confirms visitors “may set their browsers to refuse cookies”[3]). We do not share personally identifiable data with PostHog except as necessary for analytics (e.g. we may pass an anonymized user ID or email for de-duplication).

Other Service Providers: We may engage third-party vendors (e.g. email providers, customer support tools) to perform services on our behalf. These parties are required to protect your information and only use it to perform the service we request.

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies for essential site functions and to analyze usage. Upon your first visit, a cookie consent banner is shown as required by law[8]. Essential cookies (e.g. session cookies) are set automatically for functionality. Non-essential cookies (analytics or advertising) are only enabled with your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time via our banner or browser settings (though disabling cookies may limit some features). Our analytics provider (PostHog) only uses first-party cookies to improve site performance[3] and does not employ external third-party trackers.

Age Restriction and Children’s Privacy

BlueRendering.ai is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. As PostHog notes in its policy, if a user is found to be under 18, the account will be closed[9]. By using our Service, you represent that you are at least 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal data, we will promptly delete such data and close the account.

Your Rights and Choices
Account Access: You can access, update, or delete your account profile information at any time by logging into your account. For example, you can change your email address, password, or other profile details.
Data Correction/Deletion: You may request correction or deletion of your personal data. To do so, contact us at the address below. (As an example, Wix advises that users should be able to “access, correct, amend or delete any personal information” by contacting the site owner[10].) Upon receiving your request, we will verify it and then delete your personal data from our active systems within a reasonable time, except for any data we are required to retain for legal purposes. PostHog’s policy similarly states you can delete your account data at any time[11].
Do Not Sell (CCPA): We do not sell your personal data. If you are a California resident, you may opt out of any future sale of information. We provide a “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” link on our site and honor Do-Not-Sell requests as required[5].
Cookie Choices: As above, you can manage or refuse cookies via the consent banner or browser settings. This will prevent any further non-essential tracking cookies from being set.
General Privacy Rights: If you are subject to GDPR or other data protection laws (for example, if you are in the EU), you have additional rights such as data portability, restriction of processing, and lodging a complaint with a supervisory authority. We will comply with these rights where applicable. For any privacy requests, email us as described below.

Data Retention

We retain the personal information collected only as long as necessary to provide our services or to comply with legal obligations. In practice, this means we keep your data while your account is active or as long as needed to perform contractual and legal duties. For example, PostHog’s policy explains that it will “retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to perform our contractual obligations, provide you services… or comply with legal obligations”[12]. Similarly, we will delete or anonymize information that is no longer needed. When you delete your account, or request deletion, we will remove your personal data from our systems (except for any information we must keep to comply with law or legitimate business needs).

Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data. For instance, Wix’s infrastructure uses firewalls and encryption to safeguard stored data[7]. However, no system is completely risk-free, so please exercise caution (e.g. choose a strong password and keep it confidential).

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Significant changes (e.g. how we use data) will be communicated through our site or via email notification. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after changes indicates your acceptance of the updated terms.

As Wix’s example suggests, you can reach out to us to “access, correct, amend or delete any personal information we have about you”[10]. We will respond to reasonable requests in accordance with applicable law.

Educational Disclaimer

This Privacy Policy is provided for educational and informational purposes only and is not intended as legal advice or a substitute for professional guidance. It should not be considered comprehensive or used as the sole source of legal information. For advice on how the law applies to your specific situation, consult a qualified attorney[13].

We strive to uphold similar privacy standards at BlueRendering.ai.
